Waterblasting

Some applications of pavement marking require the surface to be cleaned, prepped or to have old pavement markings removed (obliterated). For this, West River Striping has a StripeHog SH8000 Hydroblaster. This is a specialty piece of equipment that uses water at high pressure to remove or prep road surfaces while capturing the majority of debris leaving only minimal material behind. Water pressures may range anywhere from just a few thousand PSI all the way up to 40,000 PSI. With this, West River Striping can comfortably and successfully obliterate any pavement marking on almost any road surfaces. Waterblasting is also the most preferred method of rubber removal on runways of all airports and Air Force bases. West River Striping is currently the only contractor with this equipment in the state of North Dakota.
